Founded in 1987, MET offers the most comprehensive cycling helmet range on the market to protect all bike riders, regardless of discipline, age or budget. MET was ahead of the lightweight full-face game with the original Parachute, although the look of that helmet was polarizing, to say the least. MET Helmets now offer a complete range of helmets for the mountain biker, at a price point to suit most wallets. The Rivale Helmet from MET might not be on many cyclists' radar, but it should be. The most recent addition is the MET Terranova, an open face helmet for trail riding, that sits between the budget-friendly Echo and the higher-end Roam.Offered with and without MIPS-C2, the Terranova will set you back $140 or $120, respectively. This line has removable pads for washing unlike other MET helmets which have gel pads which appears to be an upgrade ie Velemon which also has Kevlar straps (whatever that means). The strap system and interior harness kept the helmet in a comfortable position. It's a compact helmet that looks great and will help you stand out in a sea of other popular helmets. Its very light for an aero road helmet and cools fine for me, contrary to other reviews.
